HORNISH JR. HELPS WITH TSUNAMI RELIEF
Sam Hornish Jr. was in his hometown of Defiance, OH on Monday providing support for the Tsunami relief effort. The two-time IndyCar Series Champion was at a local coffee house, Cabin Fever, signing autographs for donations to help aid the victims. Patrons of Cabin Fever were asked to give a $5 donation for each item Hornish Jr. signed and all proceeds went directly to relief funds.
In addition, Cabin Fever is donating every cent earned on coffee, cappuccino, and lattes sold during Monday's business hours to the effort as well.
"We're very impressed with Sam," said Cabin Fever owner Lisa Spyker. "We just can't believe that he was so willing to help us with our relief fundraiser. He and his family have been so wonderful to work with, we're just so happy he was committed to helping the Tsunami victims. We expect a line of 'Sam Fans' out the door and around the corner today!"
Well I guess it just goes to show you a rule is only a rule as long as no one in the local hall is offended or there is money to be made. Perhaps Sam received a Free Home Bible Study for his efforts.

Any person respected at a Kingdumb Hall for their scientific knowledge must have figured out how to make beer out of Windex.

I hope to read this book. There are so many that have stories to tell that may very well be the "treatment" they seek. The power and paralyzing effect this cult has on people well into adulthood is a story in and of itself. To this day I struggle with "what if" thoughts and watch my life slip away. The devious manner in which this group operates is always explained away by "cautious as serpents innocent as doves". It is just a matter of time..........

Reading all of these posts is very sad. The last about the poor woman who could not recognize her own actions and then denied them speaks to the thought control exerted over these poor souls. I have watched this organization from the inside and outside and only feel pity for my mother and outright disgust for the organization and blood sucking leeches it represents. I find it interesting that so many responses to this "documentary" are from the same group of enlightened individuals who refused to watch the Dateline program addressing pedophilia within the Watchtower organization. To state this is a documentary providing fair, equal and unbiased information is a discredit to PBS. The biblical truths that this publishing company promote are nothing more than Orwellian doublespeak. I personally have been subjected to the cruelty and hypocrisy of this organization and can state for a certainty that the Golden Rule is NOT one of the characteristics that this group promotes. Where are their works? My mother claims that the works she provides are "free home bible studies". I must have missed that part of the Good Samaritan offering a home bible study to the robbery victim lying on the edge of the road. Why do I no longer argue with my mother regarding this? It is pitiful and sad to watch an individual suffer from cognitive dissonance in order to reconcile a lifetime of wasted "door to door ministry" Knocking and knocking and knocking.........Only to watch the generation THAT WILL BY NO MEANS PASS AWAY.....be dismissed as an adjustment from Gods Organization. Please note that in my post to the PBS "Knocking" Talkback I referred to the robbery victim as a Tax Collector as I am sure the well schooled JW's will attack that instead of addressing the real issue of their so-called works of love;).
